The all metal filter cartridge is an assembled unit comprise d of wheel shaped filter discs & spacers stacked on a rotable shaft the cleaning blades are mounted on a stationary rod adjacent to the cartridge stack and project into the spacing between the filter discs, thus when the cartridge is rotated the cleaning blades comb out filter slots to their full depth - mechanically & positively.
